FAQs

  • What’s the dress code?

    • Closed toed shoes are required. If you show up with open toed shoes you will not be permitted to enter the facility and no refund will be provided.

  • Can anyone throw axes?

    • Axe throwers must be 12+ with a legal adult present.
       

  • Should I tip my axe coach?

    • Tips are not required, but definitely appreciated!!
       

  • Do I need to sign a waiver?

    • Yes, all guests will be required to sign a waiver even if not participating.

  • Is axe throwing safe?

    • YES! Safety is a huge priority here at Northern Michigan Axe Company. Our staff is always present during the day to make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves, but also making sure that everyone is doing it safely.

  • Can I bring my own axe?

    • Unfortunately, no. Everyone must us axes that NMAC provides due to safety precautions.

  • Do you offer walk-in sessions?

    • Yes, if there is a lane available, we will accept walk-ins, but it is wise to make a reservation to guarantee a time to throw.

  • Can we cancel a reservation?

    • Yes, give us a call and we can cancel it for you. Cancelations must be done 48hrs before a reservation to get a refund.

  • Who should I bring axe throwing?

    • EVERYONE (over 12)

  • How much does it cost?

    • $25 per person.

  • How long is a reservation?

    • As typical reservation will be for 1 hour, but you can throw for as many hours as you like!

  • How many lanes do you have?

    • We currently have 8 lanes. So, when you make a reservation, you will get 2 lanes (1 Bay). 

  • Do you serve or allow alcohol?

    • Not at this time, but we have soft drinks and snacks available. New! BYOB now allowed.
